On the road to nowhere
We're on a road to nowhere
Come on inside
Takin' that ride to nowhere
We'll take that ride
I'm feelin' okay this mornin' And you know,
We're on the road to paradise
Here we go, here we go
CHORUS
Maybe you wonder where you are
I don't care
Here is where time is on our side
Take you there...
take you there
We're on a road to nowhere
We're on a road to nowhere
We're on a road to nowhere
There's a city in my mind
Come along and take that ride
and it's all right, baby, it's all right
And it's very far away But it's growing day by day
And it's all right, baby, it's all right
They can tell you what to do
But they'll make a fool of you
And it's all right, baby, it's all right
We're on a road to nowhere .....(Talkin Heads On the road to nowhere)
This summer Gail and I have been taking 1 tank rides more. Not so much about the cost of gas these days, although it is relevant. It is more about going places, stopping often to take pictures or just "smell the roses" a bit.
This weekend we were going to ride the raods around Heath Mass. Our intention was to head in the general area and get a room when we saw a place we'd like to stay at. One little problem. You guessed it. No rooms! Apparantly the North Adams/Williamstown area is booked solid when Tanglewood is performing. Oops. We decided to head up the road a bit to Bennington to see if anything was avaialable. We found a tolerable room for ok money right downtown. The roads were terrific, especially Rt 116. We stopped often took pictures and literally "smelled the roses" It was a real nice time.
Shelburne Falls: Is this the last phone booth anywhere? Maybe!
Gail has been a bad, bad girl! I think she likes it. Sculpture of a policeman -
